Open Call: Edible
Ode to Them open calls are designed to create meaningful opportunities for artists, writers and image-makers across disciplines. We review every submission with care and welcome experimental, emerging and established voices alike.
For this open call, we invite artists, writers, photographers, filmmakers and image-makers to explore the theme of Edible.
We are interested in food as nourishment, ritual, appetite, pleasure, memory, recipe, labour, inheritance, consumption and desire. We welcome literal, symbolic and experimental interpretations.
Selected works will be considered for inclusion in Ode to Them's forthcoming exhibition, presented in collaboration with La Sobremesa, London, in July 2026.
Previous Ode to Them open calls have received over 1,000 submissions from artists and creatives worldwide. The submission fee helps support the time, care and administration required to thoughtfully review every application.
