Cambodia

From the artist:

I travelled to and lived in Cambodia from 2009-2011. Cambodia was a time before
smart phones and daily social media and for me, a time before becoming a mother. I had one film camera, an Olympus OM10. I had studied film photography at college
just before I left for my trip, however, I still very much considered myself to know very little about the possibilities of shooting on film. Cambodia was rich with inspiration and muses. It was easy to find beautiful images to shoot, wherever I went. People were friendly and I was at ease asking for photographs. This collection of images serves not only as a keepsake of a very special place, but also of an unforgettable time of my life. I left Cambodia, pregnant with my son Omi. It wasn’t until recently when I looked at my old OM10 camera, that I wondered if I’d
accidentally named him after it.
