Ode x Theatreship Open Call: Water
Theme: Water
Ode to Them is delighted to be partnering with Theatreship on a new series of curated exhibitions aboard their floating arts venue in London.
For our first exhibition, we’re inviting London-based visual artists to respond to the theme Water.
Water as place, memory, movement, ritual, body, boundary or transformation.
Rivers and oceans. Rain, tears, baths and swimming pools. What we cross, drink; what surrounds us and what we’re made of.
We invite you to interpret Water as openly as you like.
Selected works will be curated by Ode to Them and exhibited aboard Theatreship for one month across October–November 2026.
The open call is free to enter.
Location: Theatreship, South Quay Plaza, London E14 9SH
Deadline: 11 September 2026
Eligibility: London-based visual artists
Maximum work size: A0
Display requirements: Works must be suitable for wall display.
Ode to Them open calls are designed to create meaningful opportunities for artists across disciplines. We review every submission with care and welcome experimental, emerging and established voices alike.
Artists submitting through our open calls may also be considered for future Ode to Them exhibitions, events, editorial features and paid collaborative projects.
Free to submit.
