Theme: Ode to Dogs

Ode to Them open calls are designed to create meaningful opportunities for artists, writers and image-makers across disciplines. We review every submission with care and welcome experimental, emerging and established voices alike.

This month's theme: Ode to Dogs

Revisiting one of our favourite weekly prompts, 'Ode to Dogs' returns as a special new open call.

We're inviting artists and writers to submit work that celebrates, remembers, observes or responds to dogs.

We invite your interpretation of dogs in any medium, including written work.

Selected works will be featured in a special online exhibition on odetothem.com and across our digital platforms.

A curated digital zine will accompany the exhibition, with a limited print edition planned for late 2026.

Artists may also be considered for future Ode to Them exhibitions, events, editorial features and collaborative opportunities.

By submitting, you agree that selected work may be featured across Ode to Them’s digital platforms with full credit.

Why is there a submission fee?

The £3 submission fee directly supports Ode to Them, helping us continue to platform emerging artists, develop independent projects and create new opportunities for our community.

Our regular weekly open calls and opportunities will remain free to submit to - always.

Submission fee: £3
Deadline: 31 October 2026 - 5PM
